Welcome to Neuro Talk. If this surgery is just a few days old, I would certainly call the doctor. Usually in your discharge papers it will say, if there is unusual pain or discharge, fever etc. to check with the doctor. He won't mind, and it would put you at ease to talk or go in to see him.
