Heart Dear Majo, that's great!

Dear Majo

Congratulations on the 4 kilos!!!! :excited:

no wait......... 8.8 lbs, yes! (I like pound numbers better... they're bigger. ) and hey 8.8 is practically 9!!!

patience patience. try not to be mad. when it comes off slow it is healthier for you and more likely to stay off.

and............

*please* do not eat ZERO carbohydrates, or you will have ZERO energy....

... and go KERFLOOOOPP!!!

limit your ready-carbs, especially nutritionally "empty" ones as in sweetened drinks, candy, etc, sugar in tea or coffee, etc. even brown sugar is typically refined white sugar to which they've added just enough molasses to give it a beige tinge. "natural" cane sugar is still sucrose... double sugar which gives you a blood sugar spike followed by a rapid drop if taken alone. having zero sucrose is fine.

However, simple sugars, even though they are ready carbs, are much healthier than sucrose... they do not produce the sudden insulin response that sucrose does. These sugars can be found in fruit and veggies.

another important thing is when you eat the healthy carbs, balance them with with protein, fat and fiber. this way your body gets some energy for now and some for later. some foods (like legumes and certain vegetables) already have such a combination.) other foods like potatoes or rice, have predominantly starch, so those need to be limited and combined with other foods.
