Default Federal OWCP

Hi everyone,

I'm toward the end of the cycle with my OWCP but am having difficulty getting the DOL to accept RSD as part of my claim even though it is obvious that I got the RSD through my work injury.

I have been "permanent and stationary" for 2 years now. I have got permanent restrictions and a 96% disability rating for my right (dominant) arm. I have had two visits with the gov's 2nd opinion doctor. My examiner said that they won't settle my claim because she says they have only accepted "sprains" as my diagnosis and she believes I'll fully recover - even though my injury was over 4 years ago.

Since the claim is federal, I haven't been able to find a lawyer to help me out. I am tired of being in the federal system and I just want out. I want to settle my claim. I do not want their kind of insurance since it takes weeks-months to get anything authorized if it ever does get authorized. Not many docs will bill to OWCP anymore. If I can get this settled, my private insurance has said they will cover the condition, but they need to have me be outside of the OWCP umbrella.

Any advice is appreciated.
