I am so very sorry that this is happening to you. I truly believe that in comparison to other countries we have a fantastic health system - but that doesn't help you in this situation.

Please know that I am thinking of you. Thinking back, I don't know if my neurosurgeon worked out of a public hospital. It's all crap - the public liability thing, and scheduled fees have screwed us over big time and lots of specialists won't work in public hospitals - especially if they deem this to be 'elective surgery'.

This sucks, and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
