I do apologize for you feeling that you had a bad experience here Kelly. If you decide to stay on, you will see that this is in fact a very caring, supportive and informative community.
The reason I intervened earlier was for exactly what you expressed...that some people were over stepping boundaries in their responses. I don't think anyone meant to upset you, rather that they just feel passionately about their perspective....but yes, you are correct that the discussion went off at tangents and made assumptions that were not ok. And again, that is why I intervened, because that is not how we prefer things to run here.

Anyway, I hope everyone has learned a valuable lesson and will grow from this.
And Kelly, I hope you will return and maybe explore around our community a bit more...I think you will find your first impression was not what we are actually all about
