You're making a psych claim, therefore you need a psych doc. An attorney wouldn't guarantee you SSI benefits. Docs often assume their support of a claim is all that is needed.

SS doesn't "exempt" people from work. They approve or deny disability claims. Are you saying you already received an approval?

The advice I'm giving offers you an increased chance of approval. If you trust your doc and don't want a differing opinion, I'm not sure why you're posting... I was trying to help you, even if you're not happy with the advice.
