I will also respond because your first post did ask for "any advice". Feel free to ignore my advice.

Does it sound like you might get SSI? Can't tell. If you were blind, or deaf, or had Down's syndrome, or stage 4 liver cancer I would say absolutely yes. If you were applying on the basis of a hang nail, a broken arm, an amputated foot (and that was all that was wrong with you) I would say absolutely no. Anything else, the best guess is 'maybe' or 'maybe not'.

The fact that you are claiming to be mentally ill but have no current psychiatric evidence is a negative indicator. The fact that your doctor is on some top 100 list means nothing. The fact that the assistant say "passes easily" doesn't mean much unless she has been trained as a disability analyst. If she hasn't, her opinion means very little. If she has, it is still an opinion, she is not an SSA decisionmaker.

The Social Security Administration does not make a decision that you are exempt from work. You may have gotten a denial on SSDI because you have not worked enough in the period before you became disabled (not insured for SSDI). That has zero to do with being exempt from work.

I suggest you at least consider the various advice you are getting here from strangers who did what you asked, gave an opinion. You may also decide to get an attorney. But without sufficient medical evidence, all of your words and your attorney's words are just that - words, not evidence. It is the findings of the psychiatrist that provides the evidence that the disability analyst uses to determine if your condition is severe enough to be found disabled.

Since you are already on Medicaid and food stamps, you probably don't have much in income and resources, but you need to be aware that SSI is a needs-based, welfare type program and your money also matters in determining payment. For as long as you are on SSI.

Generally, a decision can take 3-6 months, longer if SSA has to send you for a psychiatric evaluation. Even longer if you decide to not go to the evaluation.
