Default Hi Y'all

I am a newbie to this community having joined about 1/2 hour ago.
Looking at the clock I see it is time to wish all a Happy Easter as Christ
has Risen or if more appropriate I hope you have a great Sunday, nice day, good will good well to all! Ten days ago I had never heard of CRPS or RSD
and now I know what has caused me so much pain for the last 3 years. Three yrs ago, I did not know what calcaneal surgery was or that calcaneus was a
a synonym for heel for that matter. Had just moved to our ranch from Austin (about 40 miles east) and within couple weeks, I fell approx 14 feet to concrete and shattered my rt. heel. At the ER, I said to doc I know I have broken my ankle and torn my achilles tendon and he was probably 1 of 1000 ER docs as I doubt that 1 of 100 orthos even would recognize but he said, yup done that for sure but afraid it's alot worse. An athlete all my life and many bad injuries but I had no idea what was worse down there, I do now. I had almost 6 hour surgery and still have large titanium plate, 12 one and half inch screws and some smaller ones (screws are my heel) and he used some cadaver bone also as my hips had already given for fusions, last being C6/7-which ended up saving my life when I broke my neck for the second time in 2002 --another story. I knew this was long painful ordeal but after 4-5 weeks, I also knew something else was going on and previous injuries etc. caused all symptoms to be blamed away on them by 3 doctors until I saw my new pain mgt doctor in Austin 10 days ago. I am pleased to have found him, pleased to have found y'all and he has me on schedule for next few weeks to get me turned around and hopefully, to a less painful life.
Having first of series of 3 sympathetic nerve blocks Tuesday (3 injs then I believe) will test for spinal cord stimulator in 2-3 weeks to see if good candidate, if so, do the implant and get off the heavy duty stuff he put me on immediately. He said you could have doubled, tripled the hydro you were taking and would not have helped pain you are dealing with--- at last someone understood my pain and the pain going to other foot and leg
now and elsewhere does not mean I am crazy! He said he'd hold off on crazy part as my chart looks like a stuntman's (I am not) but you are not crazy about pain in other limbs and elsewhere. Y'all have a great week. Sorry for the length and boring you, thanks for reading if you got this far. If not, thanks anyway.
