I didn't respond again, because I didn't think you wanted me to. I read and reread your posts. You stated you have only had ONE recent psych visit. If you're claiming a severe psych disorder, then it will be in your best interest to be actively seeking psych treatment. SS will send you to one of their docs for 1 appointment if your application gets that far if they think your claim has merit but not evidence. You won't get to choose that doc. What they can determine in one visit is not as credible as a long standing treating doc (this is why SS usually gives more "weight" to a personal doc). SS docs can be hit or miss. Some spend very little time examining patients. (You would have recourse, but this would mean a protracted battle.)
If a person applies for SSD benefits claiming they have cancer, SS would expect a mountain of evidence proving this. Monthly visits to a cancer doc, chemotherapy, meds, etc. If you're making a psych claim, SS will need to see evidence that you're seeking treatment. Generally, it would be from a psych doc. Weekly appointments over a span of months or years would HELP.
I'm not trying to upset you. I'm obviouslly telling you info you don't want to hear. But I WAS and AM trying to help. If you were a family member of mine, I'd advise that you seek the care of a psych doc asap. If you're approved in the interim you've lost nothing. Unless your Health and Wellness doc advises you that you'll be harmed by seeking such care, you've only invested your time in documenting your illness. A psychiatrist will likely only see you once for testing, anyway. Then, he/she will likely refer you to a therapist.
Perhaps your 2 letters and one recent visit will be enough. My advice was to improve your chances.
Best of luck.
