It depends on several factors:
1 - if you elected
direct deposit - within 30 days. It will be your responsibility to check your account every day as you will not get an acknowledgement from SS that the $$ has been deposited until several weeks/months later.
2 - how
backlogged your state is - several months if you elected snail mail paper check. Some states are more backlogged than others. Your attorney can give you an idea of the backlog. Ask your attorney.
NOTE: Not sure if all SS direct deposit is now mandatory in
ALL states now.

From beginning to end it took me 3 1/2 years to receive back pay.
Three weeks after my ALJ hearing, I received my back pay (direct deposit).
Two months after my ALJ hearing, I received my very thick "SSDI package."
