Amitriptyline is not an expensive med. You can probably get it as Walgreens or WalMart for $4 or $6 per month since it is generic. Or, you can try a stint of going without to see if they are making a difference. I had to buy it for my dog and it was not expensive.

Work Comp was never designed for the injured worker's benefit. It is designed to limit the liability of the employer. the insurance company's goal is to pay out the least. It is a federal mandate. Just shows you what we get when we allow the federal and state governments to mandate how to take care of workers, injured or not. It is know as the "Great Trade-off" since the worker gets a guarantee of minimal coverage and the employers get a guarantee of limited liability. It allows the employers to factor in a precise cost of labor rather than risk a high cost liability suit. Only the employers win in this system.
