Asking for imaging that is not medically necessary is a good way to get a negative medical report such as somatoform or psychosomatic or hypochondriac. Then, any follow-up risks more doctors concurring.
Nick, it sounds like you have struggled with doctors reading your medical history and making diagnoses based on anxiety. You were extremely fortunate to be seen by your most recent neuro. Had you not found him, you would have another negative/anxiety report to deal with.
