75% of my job is desk work, 25% travel. I haven't had surgery yet but my work setup is quite comfortable compared to what is used to be. I have a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard. When properly positioned (so my elbows stay at my side), typing doesn't exacerbate my symptoms anymore. I also use a standard high-precision wireless mouse, but on my leg instead of the desk. I tried a trackball but just couldn't get used to it. I also have an AeroMotion Ergonomic Chair that is the best office chair I've used.
