We strive to bring to one and all
the sparing lift from spirit's fall
as Christ has taught to rest in thanks
acknowledge the Father's blessed ranks
of angels who with eagle's wings
are sent to watch o'er many things.

They come to aid when grief is here
and then are close when e'er we fear
the slightest fall or troubled rest
relieved because God dispatched His best
a healer here, and comforter there
announcing God as everywhere.

Creation seen by these whose awe
propelled them into angel song
for all are blessed
Christmas angellic best
announcing Christ so we who talk
are thrilled to be where angels walk.
