I am tickled at finally getting some answers, but even this new doctor told me he didn't understand the other doctors lack of action. He just shook his head in disbelie This is negelgence(spelling) and out right malpractice. He also wanted this toe joint replaced....BAD as the failure rate is way too hight to justify doing it. So why was he wanting to do that? Gerry I am having some anger issues, and am serioulsy thinking about a lawyer. I have my records. what do you think? Too many doctors are just getting patients in an out asap. Not listening to what or caring what is happening to their patients. If this new social med comes in, it will not only be the Medicare/Medicade that the doctors are avoiding; but most of the country will be in the same type of program. We have the countries, Canada, Ireland, Britain to use as examples. Many cannot get in to see a doctor for months. More and more patient assistants, nurse practioners are starting to take place of doctors. It will get worse.
Three years ago, I had bladder prolapse surgery (cystocele). FDA sent warning to doctors about the use of mesh for women. FDA warned the mesh erodes in the vagina and has caused terrible problems and pain. Almost impossible to remove. My doctor, unfortuately, did not heed and I have mesh sling for bladder, mesh for closure of surgery as well. Wiithin weeks, legs swelled, statis dermtatis developed skin of feet, ankles to the knees. PN has gone off the map. My lower abdomen is in such pressure and pain. You know what this doctor told me. "Well you know you are getting older". referring to the swelling Edema. He could care less.
I should do something about LSI as well who just about mutulated my spine. Ginnie; it just goes on and on. Poor Eva is going thru so much because of incompetent medical care. It takes a lot to go thru legal issues. Unfortuately, I am just not up to it. If you can and are willing to find enough doctors who will verify in writing this doctor has been negligent, etc. you might have a case. Many doctors will say things about another doctor; but not willing to sign when it comes to legal action.
One thing, for me anyway, is to let go of some of the anger because it just made me even more distraught and sicker. I pray to overome this because it is I in the long run who pays the price for making myself sick over theses issues.
