I just read that some FIR saunas might not be all that great , the cheaper materials used in them may exude chemicals that you don't want.

It was suggested the the FIR lights may be a better, safer & less expensive choice. Plus the lamps are portable , and if it doesn't work it is easier to return or resell that a large sauna. If a lamp does work, then that would give a better idea that a full sauna would work also.

I should have bookmarked where I read that info..

I have a Far infrared heating pad and have had it since 2005 - we find it does do more for us than a regular heating pad.
I don't have RSD though, more of a chronic RSI/TOS/mild myofascial pain syndrome. Dh has a knee that he injured last summer and uses it when it gets sore.
