Good idea's for home security
Hey everyone, I thought I would chime in on this post. Many of you may know that I am an NRA instructor and one of the courses that I teach is called personal protection in the home. One of the parts of the class they teach talks about home security. In the class I teach that whether you have a dog or not, it is good idea to put a large dog is outside your front door with water in it. That will make would-be robbers assume maybe there is something that drinks from that dish and they should choose another house. Another thing that I suggest is going to Goodwill for another thrift store and buying the largest size man workboots or shoes you can find. Leave them outside the front door. This is especially useful for people that are living alone in a house.
I have at one time or another have an alarm on my home. They were too annoying for me to deal with, and my dog would jump up on the couch and set it off when I was not home I would end up paying a fine to the city. No alarms for me.
My only home security is a 357 magnum, or a 20 gauge shotgun along with the sign on my window that says "husband is an NRA instructor- with guns, wife has PMS. Guess which one is home?? Never had a problem
