So you have peroneal neuropathy? Try putting a 1/2 patch behind the knee where the peroneal nerve is. Put the 1/2 patch across the back of the thigh just above where the knee bends.
The nerve is very close to the skin there. I often do that for my feet. (I found it helpful because I was really doing my KNEE and my feet felt better, too).
Also I hope you are putting 1/2 patch on each instep (top of the foot). This is where all the nerves are going to the rest of the foot. Putting the patches on the bottom of the feet doesn't work IMO.
This photo on a very good website shows where the peroneal nerve is at the top of the foot. It also shows ankle locations which you can try too.
It takes a couple or 3 days for the Lidoderms to start working.
It is not instanteous.

This photo shows Tinel's sign... which signals entrapment of the nerve. Tapping there will cause "shocky" feelings.
So wearing shoes that tie tightly over this part of the foot is not a good idea.
