Hi everyone,
New to this forum and very desperate for some advice. I have been suffering recurrent utis for 15 years now. The latest tests have shown that I'm pretty much resistant to every single oral antibiotics available to treat utis. As a result, I have spent the last 5 days in hospital receiving intravenous Gentamicin (hospital prescribed only antiobiotics) injections. I'm also taking Augmentin Duo Forte. I should mention that I was in hospital 12 years ago with a severe case of Pyelonephritis (uti infection which caused renal abscess on my right kidney).

I have been sent home from the hospital but I'm not feeling any better. I still have strong urge to pee even though there's not a lot. I'm also experiencing pain in my back, just above the kidney region.

Has anyone gone through something similar and can offer any type of advice? I've also had a CT Scan but nothing abnormal is showing. Should I see a urologist? I'm really at my wit's end in battling with this disease...
