Hi Lara,
Thanks for your reply and sorry to hear what your daughter had to go through - UTIs often aren't seen as serious issues (most women will experience it some time in their life) until it means serious kidney infections. The specialist said if we can't get this under control then as a last resort we may be looking at removing the offending kidney... hopefully that is the very last resort.

I've bought cranberry juice (Oceanspray - can't seem to find 100% pure cranberry juice) and have also tried Ural. I don't have a fever at the moment but I'm monitoring it very closely.

My specialist is a nephrologist but I'm thinking that because my kidney infection is ALWAYS triggered by a bout of UTI that perhaps I should look to make an appointment with a Urologist who would be looking for different things then a kidney specialist. I'm willing to give just about anything a go at the moment...
