Serious kidney infections can be life-threatening.

My daughter's specialist in Brisbane actually specialises in paediatric urology, reconstructive urology and stone disease. His card says he's a Urologist. He still sees her when needed even though she's 23 now. She still needs to have her remaining ureter reconstructed one day, some day. Fortunately for her, her remaining kidney although a strange shape does function well.

I know what you mean about the sugar content in the Cranberry juice. Sort of defeats the purpose doesn't it? You could try the capsules instead.

btw, Some members here are very impressed with a product called Kefir. It's a probiotic. I haven't looked for it myself yet, but I would imagine it's in health food stores. I've seen mention of it in some discussion places regarding UTIs but have no idea if it can help as a preventative. One of our members, mrsD, may be able to comment on that some time.
