I share you interest, and you would be interested to know that a patient in Greece was treated with 8 months of Vidaza (Azacytidine) and was apparently cured of the virus. This information is somewhat forbidden because HTLV is supposed to be a rare, obscure disease that does not warrant treatment. No one would consider 35 million people infected (including half a million Americans) to be rare nor obscure, and anyone with this would not agree that it does not warrant treatment.
