No. Nothing
prevents cancer. Some things can
reduce the risk of some cancers. Very often they're things like lifestyle; good diet, exercise, enough sleep, not smoking.... Common sense stuff.

They did a study" is now tantamount to "
I saw it on TV" or "
It was in the newspaper" ("
so it must be true"). Studies come out all the time, and often refute findings of previous studies. A lot of studies are later found to be so full of holes & bad science as to be worthless or misleading. You have to dig a little deeper to find out who did the study, their motivation for doing it, corroborating studies, etc.
