I'm thankful that I don't have a feeding tube, I'm thankful that I have teeth, I'm thankful that I'm not eating locusts, I'm thankful that I have Tums.
That said, I'm just grumbly because I have to be REALLY careful what I eat ini the evening--like, 4-5 hours before bedtime. I can't eat ice cream after about 2:00. After 4:30 or 5, it's pretty much cereal (no milk), crackers, string cheese...once in a while a cookie, maybe a tootsie roll pop.
Sometimes I flat out CRAVE "real" food at suppertime--a plate of spaghetti, a grilled cheese sandwich, a bowl of sliced peaches, a salad. Arrgh. I hear people say "time for supper" at 8 p.m. and I'm just as startled as if they'd said "time to do my chicken imitation". Wow.
I also resent having to be careful what I eat for two days before I go anywhere. When I was working, I used to LOVE a Monday holiday, because on Sunday I could eat garlic bread, salad, vegetables, pizza...anything I wanted, and not have to worry about getting called in to work the next day.
I have a whole list of things I'm going to eat if I find out I'm going to die that night anyway.
