On the prediction site, Blake is on top. I think this is the first time that Melinda isn't on top. I may have to change my vote from Melinda to Jordin. But I would hate to see a 17 year old girl have such a sudden change in her life that puts her in the spot light and she makes changes in her appearance and lifestyle like Kelly Clarkson did.

I liked Blake, for a change...Chris creeped me out, as always, as did Phil. Sanjya wasn't bad, really, except fot his
uber-creepy mooning at the camera - yuck!
Melinda is
fabulous - in a class all by herself, IMO. What a smooth voice; perfect pitch and tempo, lots of pure joy. She's a great singer - too good for American Idol, I think, especially its current iteration. All this emphasis on being "current" this season has me perplexed, as does the choice of singing coaches (other than Tony Bennett). Is it my imagination, or are they choosing singing mentors who can't sing? Dianna Ross is WAY over the hill - can't sing a lick anymore - and Lulu? Jennifer Lopez is a nice girl and she's cute, but she's no singer, any more than Paula Abdul was/is. Ditto Gwen Stefani.
Jordin picked a bad song...she's a singer and she should sing. Again, I think she's being influenced by the fear of being criticized for not being "contemporary". I still think she's great. Lakeisha is a one-trick pony, IMO. I don't really care who has tattoos or whose dress is too tight, etc., but I do care about the singing, and I don't see Lakeisha breaking out of her one style. Hailey - has got to go. Nothing in the tank there.
Can Hailey and Sanjaya both go at one time - like tonight????
