Default Allergies and PCS

Hi All

It's been awhile since I've last posted, and I'm still on the rollercoaster lol!!

I cherish the "good days" and do my best with the "bad"...but I've stumbled upon a new "twist" to all of this....

It's a BAD allergy time here in Connecticut!!! Everyone is complaining of headaches, stuffy noses etc...

Well, Monday I got out of bed after not feeling "quite right" over the weekend...I fell right onto the floor...it's not a "dizzy" feeling, most definitely vertigo..and for those of you who experience it, you know the difference!

STILL not having a treating MD and not wanting an ER visit, I decided I'm going to try to manage on my own...I whip out my Allergy nasal spray, take Benadryl, Claritin, drink fluids, eat etc. etc...and here I am..Friday...

I'm feeling "a little better"...but still have that nagging migraine and yes, vertigo...not to the extreme of falling...just staggering now...

I'm beginning to think that maybe it's more PCS than Allergy related (which of course, scares me)...and leading me to think I may have to take a trip to the ER (which I HATE)...but if for nothing else, than to calm me...best case scenario it's allergies/sinus...worst case? I'm not going there....

Had a recent hearing after going through the Neuropsych testing...WC jumped to the very last recommendation of the PhD's report and decided that I can begin to look for per-diem/part-time employment...yes, really! And I am still in the same boat as I was the day I sustained my injury 7-21-10..I STILL have NOT received ANY treatment....the system just DOES NOT work FOR US...so I continue my fight for my care....it's exhausting...

Off to the ER, playing "better safe than sorry"...please do let me know if any of you have had your symptoms exacerbated by allergies/sinus though...I'm very curious to know and I'll certainly post my outcome....

Wish me luck!!!

~I run because I can. When I get tired, I remember those who can't run, what they'd give to have this simple gift I take for granted, and I run harder for them...I know they would do the same for me <3
