I'd explain that your nuero-opth thinks the issue may be MG. Does Doc#1 take possible MG patients? Based on how they handle your question, decide if this is the office/doc for you.
And it doesn't mean you can't make an appointment with Doc #2 now also. If you do really like #1, you can always cancel the apt with #2!! Otherwise, you have the appointment for a second opinion.
Regardless of which doc, it might be helpful to have a referral and prelim dx from your neuro-opth.
Significant wait time for neuros (esp new patient visits) is not unusual. The first doc I was recommended wanted me to fill out and provide all kinds of info BEFORE he would decide if he wanted to take my case!! Needless to say, I kept looking. Two neuros later, I found the right one for me!!
