Although migraines can have a low fever, they typically do not produce higher fevers so a physician evaluation is warranted for this alone, let alone the duration. Prolonged migraines (>72 hours) can happen and are often tackled in different ways then just treating a "routine" migraine. Withdrawal from alcohol can certainly be a trigger. If bad headache and fever, think infectious causes, even Rocky Moutain Spotted Fever among others.

If your doc can rule those out, then they can hopefully knock out the headache. Consider simple, natural preventive options for the short term- from supplements to lifestyle changes (relaxation, biofeedback, hydration, reduced caffeine, etc)
