That is confusing. And frustrating! Before I was finally diagnosed with FMS, I was told twice in a couple of months that I had a bad, full body virus and had to wait it out. I was given pain meds, which I was very grateful for!

Went back the 3rd month, crying with pain and was finally sent to a rheumatologist. He diagnosed the fibromyalgia.

Not sure what kind of insurance you have, or how easy your primary doctor is to work with. I would suggest asking for a referral to a rheumy.
