I wouldn't think there would be any kind of penalty/repayment of SSDI unless they believed there was some fraud involved and you COULD have been working for the last few years.
Not to be Debbie Downer, but is it likely that a medical intervention will improve your condition that they haven't tried yet ?
My disabling conditions (RSD, TOS, and occipital neuralgia) started with a WC incident. Even tthough I've become resigned to the fact that my status isn't likely to change, as WC has denied any tx's that might help......I still have the fantasy that I will get a tx approved that could change my life or that I'll find a job that pays HUGE money that I can do in my pj's for an hour each day !
