That sure was fun. I picked up my friend's child at school in that area, stop at Sonic and next thing I know we are in the hall closet under the stairs. Luckily it stayed about eight miles south of here. We had golfball sized hail but the most amazing thing was how fast the storm moved through. The severe portion lasted less than ten minutes. The majority of it, we were sitting on the front porch until the weatherman said "rotation over a "nearby" street", so thats when we skeedaddled into the closet. My brother called from Colorado after watching on CNN and the grocery store that was hit so badly was the old Safeway he worked at in the 70's. My friend that I'm taking care of her daughter, her office is in walking distance of the store so she's worried too.

I'm amazed at how they can pinpoint these things down to a street. Just a few weeks ago there was one in Arlington and the weatherman correctly identified the path down to the street names. Amazing.

The only casualty was our barbecue pork chops and a little bird that must have gotten hit by a hail stone in the backyard. Efren saved it from the ferocious Poochy and put it in the front yard under some bushes.
