To what end? I'm sorry, and it's unfortunate, that you've had a bad experience with
Lyrica, but it still helps a
great number of people with neuropathic pain, reduces their suffering, and improves their quality of life. It doesn't work for everyone, but there are many, many people here who extoll it for the positive difference it's made in their pain and in their lives.
ALL medications have side effects, and some, like Lyrica, can produce dependence as one of them. Each patient (along with their doctors) must weigh the benefits vs. risks.
Again, your experience is unfortunate, but you found this thread, and are now going to wean off of it more slowly. Some people still have problems weaning, but not all. I hope things go well for you.
Are/were you taking it for PN? There's a lot of good information on this site, and many knowledgable people.
