Default vomiting after shunt surgery

Had a shunt implanted on 4/18. I was vomiting in the hospital after surgery. Each time I sat up I would vomit. When I laid down I would be ok. So the neurosurgeon adjusted my shunt to flow less. Three days ago I had the shunt adjusted to one setting higher, increasing the flow. For the past two days I have had headaches and nausea, vomiting once a day. Is this a temporary reaction to the change in flow that my body will adjust to or do I need another adjustment? How long should I expect the nausea to last (I can handle the headaches, but the vomiting is awful)?
