You should have a discussion about this with your surgeon AND also the anesthesiologist. Have you talked about it yet?

If they say don't worry about it, that's NOT a good answer and you should tell them as much.

There are things that can be done to calm down the nervous system(s). Blocks, IVs, certain meds, vitamin C therapy, etc.

Because CRPS is still so widely misunderstood, even in 2012 you can run into surgeons and anesthesiologists who aren't versed on this condition.
