I've encountered smelling a lot of weird smells that, upon investigation, don't exist - like there is no reason that I should be smelling them and the people around me don't smell them.
I definitely think you should discuss it with your neurologist.
I'm sorry, I can't tell you anything that might help you to heal. I'm dealing with so many other cognitive impairments and severe fatigue and whatnot from the concussion I sustained that I haven't asked my neurologist about it at all - I have bigger fish to fry - and it seems to not happen to me as much as you.
