My "bad" ankle/foot has been swollen for the last month so that I can only wear two pairs of shoes. Almost all of my socks are too tight on my left foot. The ones that aren't are too THIN so that my right shoe flops around and I slide out of it. Did ya get all that? *sigh*
So today I looked at two pair of socks, one thick, the other thinner and looser, and decided they looked verrrrrrrry similar. Similar enough that I wore the thinner one on my left foot and the thicker one on my right foot, and I ended up with a "pair" of socks that fit just right! Duh!
And the cool thing is, I have another pair just like it.

They make socks for diabetics that are loose around the ankle, very soft and a little thick, but breathable.

I love them, the only issue I have found is that they sell them by the pair or two pair at a time. So they're a little expensive.
