Jason,

Maybe you first have to accept your current condition with reduced smell and taste sensations. Stress is the worst thing you can have when you are trying to heal an injured brain. At 19, I can understand how you think your world is coming to an end but it is not. There is plenty of life for you to experience and enjoy.

Your healing will take place on its timing not yours. Try to rest and accept today and let tomorrow come as it may. The brain is not a 'quick fix' organ. It takes lots of time.

Be glad you survived to live your life. There are plenty of other people who are glad you survived.
