If what you were told at your Dr.s office is correct and you will have to purchase a Medigap policy to me since you are under the age of 65 that would be a shame.
I do not know if you have to be age qualified to be accepted by any Part B
Supplement provider but call to find out since you are on SSDI and not SS.
I would still double check with both Medicare. 1-800-MEDICARE. A rep should be able to explain your eligbility with Part B provder. The reps are very helpful.
You do not have much time because the coverage between your husbands insurance and a B Supplement has to be continuous or else will have to wait for the enrollment period and will not be eligible until January 1. I imagine it would be the same if you have to go with a Medigap plan. I hope not.
