Default infection- extraction - pain

I have had a long lasting problem with a tooth in my upper left jaw. In March I was treated for an abscess and had several root canal treatments. The pain was awful - expanding up in the face and sinus areas - up to cheek, nose, eye. I was told infection was in the bone. I returned between root canal procedures with pain, was treated with antibiotics several times, face swelled on left hand side. and eventually went to an oral surgeon to have it removed on 29th May. (It had a hooked root and was near sinus). Removal went ok they didn't have to remove bone had to have several top ups of anaesthetic as it wasnt working ( thats related to EDS III which I suffer from)

I have been in quite a lot of pain. At the moment the pain is still in the cheek bone and towards the nose - but has gone from the eye. I feel generally ill but that may also be related to EDS III. The stitches fell out the next day after operation ( EDS Likely to affect that !) The socket looks reasonably healthy no pus, no bone- it is pink gum - not healed over fully but bleeds occasionally usually when I brush my teeth- a bit sore on the inside of the gum. BUT on the outer part of my gum nearer the cheek - there is a small raised 'line' vertically running from top to the top of the socket which is extremely painful and a tiny moveable sore lump . It looks a bit redder than the other gum. Any idea what this is and whether I should see the surgeon again - I do seem to feel a lot of pain - which is probably EDS related. I just don't know how long to leave it with the pain before I see someone again. Its been 14 days now since the extraction.
