postconcussion,

I can tell what my footfall or footplant is doing to my head by running with foam ear plugs in. You may be able to connect the sound of your footplant to a matching feeling in your head. If you try this, you may be able to get a better picture of whether it is a cause of your head aches.

Taking your blood pressure and pulse can also help with this. By limiting your max heart rate and BP, you be able to prevent the head ache.

I doubt there is any other way to tell.
