Smile Need to meet others with hydrocephalus

I do not want to sound like a whiner since I live a full happy life, but I feel alone sometimes because no one around me understands what I am going through dealing with my hydrocephalus. So here I am hoping to meet other adults with the same or similar issues. I have met many children but several due to other health issues along with the Hydro. have died in infancy or childhood. Sometimes I cry wondering why I live as I do yet a child with the same condition may never know its mother's voice or face. Somehow it doesn't seem fair.

Anyway what has brought me to this site is severe headaches around the area of my VP shunt, craniotomy, and a long dent that tells me where a shunt was in childhood. The headaches are most common when high pressure systems and storms are in my area. My doctor told me today that it is similar to the arthritis that is felt by people who have had broken bones. So what is this? Arthritis of the cranium? That is just like me to have something that no one around me has heard of before.

If anyone has experienced this please let me know how you deal with it. At the moment all I can do is take meds. that will knock me out for the day and hope that it is gone when I wake up.

Hugs for everyone
