Bless your heart -- Believe me, I am on your side! The "law" has no business in the medical community. And the doctor flat out lied about what you said. You CAN get your record changed. I can't remember how that is done, but you can find out thru the AMA I believe. It will be permanently changed, so you won't have to deal with that crap anymore. I see nothiing wrong with using pot for pain management -- it's better than using street drugs or doctor shopping like many people do!

It's terrible being a chronic pain patient because they automatically deem you an addict, and figure you're just trying to get drugs. This has happened to me a couple of times when I had to change doctors because one retired, and another "fired" me because a surgeon gave me pain meds when I was NOT under a contract with my doctor (who fired me). I didn't USE the meds the surgeon gave me, but my doc wouldn't believe me, so she fired me anyway. Do you know how hard it is to find a doc when one has fired you for a "drug offense? yeah, right.

I now have a doctor but he's so afraid to give me enough to even take the edge off, that it's nuts. I've been a chronic painer for over 26 years, and I can barely walk now. Sitting is very painful, and my back is starting to curve. I've had several surgeries but they say I'm now "inoperable." So meds are the only thing left, and the pain is to the point that I haven't slept a whole night in years. I get on average, 2-3 hrs a night due to the pain and it's driving me nuts. We've had "the talk" and he's trying but I'm hard to medicate, so nothing works.

Oh well -- there's my rant for the year. Between politics, the medical community, the cops, the public -- none of us gets treated. I'm tired. God bless and PLEASE take care. Hugs, Lee
