I cannot comment on what nerves you think are damaged, but it is good you are watching for damage to possible other nerves and systems that might be affected, such as your bowel.

You are on the right track seeing a Urologist. Ask the Urologist about a Urodynamic study. During your ER visit I hope they warned you that if you are not properly voiding you could get UTIs, and possibly Kidney damage.

I would also see a Neurologist and Neurosurgeon. You should be asking for an MRI of the lower back to see if you have anything going on with your spine. If are losing control of bladder and or bowel go to the ER immediately and ask for an MRI.
