It's also possible for impaired glucose tolerance to exacerbate already standing neuro problems, as in the "double-crush" hypothesis (something else I've written about and can be searched for here). It's something I know I have to watch closely for with my recent 5.7 hemoglobin A1c reading.
Yes mine was 5.8 so I'm working hard to get it back where it has been for years
