When people have vague things like you describe, doctors are sometimes not very aggressive to find answers.
With chronic UTIs the first thing that comes to my mind is the drugs used to treat them.
Macrodantin/Macrobid is a know causer of peripherial neuropathy.
Also the fluoroquinolone family, of Cipro, Levaquin and Avelox are quite neurotoxic for some people.
