In Indiana there has been a burn ban for 1/2 of June and now into July.

From June 29th through July 9th they can't ban fireworks. But lots of
counties put emergency somethings into effect for firework bans to
do just that till further notice. Some of the area's have even cancelled
there big firework displays for tonight.

Then some of the other counties close by have told the other counties
that have cancelled, to please come join them. They have made sure
there is extra room for them.

To me this is the only safe way for a firework display, these counties
are only allowing this one firework display.

My county I believe may have lifted the firework ban last night. But
to keep our houses and our neighbors safe. We will not be doing fireworks.

Even my son who would usually be doing his, agrees.

I've been inside most of the day, just out to double check on Derrick, as
he worked the festival uptown, for the Lions Club. The report from, him
many went home from the kitchen sick. It was 104 at one point today.

I'm just glad he wasn't one. They asked if he was available to help clean
up tomorrow, I'm so glad he was honest and told them no. He told me
he is to tired.
