I have found that one of the best things is massage therapy if you can find someone who will work with you on your pain levels. Also, my chiropractor does slow stretching before adjustments and then uses a pro adjuster which is a much nicer form of adjusting. I would never recommend manipulations, but gentle Pro Adjuster.
