i've never heard of this but i keep learning from everyone's posts.
just try to make sure that the wound doesn't get infected; smells bad, pus, red streaking at skin, etc. that would require an ER visit.
does your sister have a pcp she could see?
i wish i could give you some advice but i don't know.
