After being on neurontin for about six months, I sit here in this chair, at 12:30 a.m., trying to understand what's wrong. I told my doc that I have a high tolerance for meds (giving him the number to my dentist & telling him that meds just wear off for some reason).
I'm taking neurontin 3 times a day. 300 mg each...900 mgs a day. I know that my body has adjusted to it & overcome the affect of it. How do I know this? I am sitting here, typing (or whining--oh where did that cheese platter go?), while my arms feel heavier & heavier, they itch incessantly & my shoulder blade, left side of my face & left eyeball have a circus of pins & needles going on. I know that by 2 a.m., I will be willing to trade a major organ for relief.
So, what now?
I don't want to up the dose of something I know is going to wear off & I don't want to be a whinner...especially since I didn't really want to take this at all. HELP...
