I have CRPS in my foot; especially the big toe.

What I found most comfortable is New Balance athletic shoes that are "BOTH" longer and wider than I normally would wear. That reduces pressure on sensitive areas of the foot. For example pre-CRPS I would take a size 10-D. Now I buy a size 10.5-E.

I buy the ones with an open toe box and fabric on the top (running shoe) instead of leather.

It helps a lot but of course is only one thing in the cocktail of things we try to get relief.

Good luck!
